Solar Canning Jar Lights
Here is a picture of this solar-powered canning jar light that I made last night. I can foresee many variations on this using blue jars, clear jars, with and without frosted glass, etc. Hopefully soon I can post some directions on how to make these.
Hi! I have a question on an old post of yours so I'm writing here--don't know if you'll see it, though! It's about canning whole grapes, your post from Sept 8, 2009. Do you can grapes that are seeds at all? I read in one place to can seedless grapes, but I don't know if that was just for convenience. If you've done it, do the seeds make the product more bitter? I have a chance to buy seeded grapes really cheaply and would love to can them if it won't wreck them. Thanks for any input. :)
QueenKat and Natalia, so sorry but I had taken off for a few years from posting/commenting but I am back to it now. Sorry but I don't have a good update for you. I made a few, they turned out well, but I will need to post instructions and pics sometime soon. Natalia, ALL of the grapes that I make juice from are seeded Concord Grapes. I don't detect any bitterness from the seeds. I pour the grape juice out slowly so that the grapes don't go into my glass. If they do, I just pluck them out. Again, sorry for the lengthy delay.
